Suggested Bike Route

Woohoo! Here’s our suggested bike route through the Light Trail, designed by Downtown on the Go for maximum light art and minimum hill climbing… (well, okay, it IS Tacoma, after all.)

Bike Safety Tips

It’s dark, and it’s winter. Be safe with these tips.

  • BRING LIGHTS! Front, back, side, reflective spokes, headlamp, fairy lights. The more, the better.
  • WEAR A HELMET! We cannot stress this enough. You only have one brain. Protect it.
  • DRESS in layers, with something bright and waterproof on the outside.
  • STAY COZY with gloves, a hat, a bandanna/tube and warm socks.
  • BE ALERT! Save your phone for when you stop. Look around. Expect that cars will not see you.
